EPSCoR/IDeA expands and improves the 研究 capability of scientists, 工程师, 数学家, 技术人员, and institutions in states that historically have received less funding than other states have through federal 研究 grants.
EPSCoR (Established 程序 to Stimulate Competitive 研究) was created by the National Science Foundation (NSF) in 1979 to enhance the 研究 competitiveness of targeted jurisdictions (state, territory or commonwealth) 通过加强 科学, 技术, 工程, and mathematics (STEM) capacity and capability through a diverse portfolio of investments from talent development to local infrastructure.
